2009 Life Governor

The awarding of a Life Governor to a community member recognises a significant service to East Grampians Health Service.

This year Mrs Joyce Liddle joins a distinguished group of dedicated people who have received the award.

Joyce Liddle is a valued an loved volunteer who has assisted at the Patricia Hinchey Day Centre since 1998 and has devoted many years working with the aged and people with a disability.

On almost a daily basis she interacts with clients, encouraging them to be involved with creative projects that are fun and rewarding.  Her individual fundraising efforts at the Day Centre include making large volumes of jams, chutneys, relishes and cooking slices which she sells to a loyal customer base for the Centre.

The annual creation for the local 'Scarecrow in the Vineyard' competition is a great example of her creative and lifestyle skills she shares with those at the Day Centre.
