Ararat Hospital Charity Golf Day again supported by loyal supporters

When: 2nd October 2009

Loyal business sponsors have again put their hands up to support this year's Ararat Hospital Charity Golf Day which will be held at Chalambar Golf Club on Sunday 18th October.

This will be the 8th year that the popular charity golf day has been held and again will be a 3 Person Ambrose with a shotgun start at 12 noon, and it is expected a big turnout of golfers will descend on the course at Chalambar.

Many local golfers have supported this event every year, and contributed to the success of the day, and this year all proceeds will go towards a Blood Warmer for the Inpatient Unit at the Ararat Hospital. Overall over the past seven years close to $25,000 has been raised towards vital equipment for areas across the health service.

Major sponsor again this year is the St Kilda Park View Hotel - Melbourne who are major partners to the health service, and they have offered three Bed and Breakfast Accommodation Packages valued at over $750 for the winning team of golfers.

The 1089 3WM MIXFM & The Weekly Advertiser Corporate Challenge is on again and the challenge is out to local businesses and organisations to put forward a team as on offer is a $500 Ace Radio Advertising Package for the winning business/organisation. In addition the Barham Golf Club has offered two nights' accommodation and a golf package for the three golfers valued at $800.

Again local businesses have got behind the event and have generously donated great prizes which will be on offer courtesy of Safeway - Ararat, Fosters Mensland, Ararat Retravision, AME Systems, Safeway -Ararat, Ararat Amcal Chemist and Ararat Mitre 10.

Veteran golfers always help out and this year again is no exception, and will be on the course during the day with the barbecue.

The Ararat Hospital Charity Golf Day organising committee this year is Ian Tucker, Bernadette Louder, Graeme Foster, Matt Collins, Phil Goudie, Peter Hawkins, Bob Sanders, John Shaw, Peter Carthew and Dianne Radford.

To enter the cost is $60 per team and entry forms are now available at Chalambar Golf Club, Telephone 5352 4297
