East Grampians Health Service Receives Full Accreditation

East Grampians Health Service was recently surveyed by the Australian Council on Health Standards Agency which reviewed the standards of the Health Service.
East Grampians Health Service's Quality and Risk Manager, Mr Mario Santilli commented, "Two surveyors conducted the survey and were very supportive of our processes and structures. They certainly challenged us regarding information and processes and provided good leadership and insight into the quality of our Health Service."
Mr Santilli also mentioned that, "the surveyors provided recommendations that were supportive of our ongoing improvement plans and found our clinical component commendable. The survey covered the Ararat Hospital's Inpatient Unit, Surgery, Centre of Community Health and services at Willaura. They also commented that the Health Service had a ‘good feel', with a great atmosphere which was very pleasing. The surveyors recommended that EGHS' accreditation be continued until 2013".
East Grampians Health Service Chief Executive Mr Nick Bush said, "he was pleased with successfully completing Australian Council on Healthcare Standards periodic review conducted on April 6th & 7th and thanked the staff and doctors for their efforts and commitment to East Grampians Health Service and the community."
