Garden View Court Receives Full Accreditation
6th January, 2011
Garden View Court Hostel received full accreditation for the next three years. The accreditation is the arrangement formed by the Australian Government to verify that aged care homes provide quality care and services.
There are 44 expected outcomes that have to be achieved to receive full accreditation, such as continuous improvement, education, staff, development, lifestyle and leisure, privacy and dignity, and regulatory requirements.
EGHS Aged Care Services Manager Mr. Peter Armstrong said "Garden View Court is a relaxed and comfortable environment where everyone knows everyone. The residents are delighted with the level of care they receive and its rewarding for all the staff to see the residents happy in their day to day lives. Garden View Court provides a high level of care which is a guarantee to the families that their loves will be taken care of in a suitable and professional manner."
On accepting the Certificate Garden View Court Hostel Manager Mrs. Amanda Hastings acknowledged all staff, volunteers and residents who contributed to help achieve all 44 standards. "This has been a fantastic effort by everyone involved in this rigorous process and everyone should be congratulated and feel proud of our care, services and facilities."
