EGHS Shopping Spree in Ararat fast approaching

10th November, 2010

The East Grampians Health Service Auxiliary fourth Shopping Spree will be held on Thursday 18th November from 6 - 10pm. This will be a fantastic night of shopping in the Barkly Street precinct with great discounts for shoppers.

In addition, Ararat Mitre 10 and GrowMaster Ararat will also be part of the Spree, but will not open on the night. These stores can be visited during the week leading up to the night and the same special discounts will apply for shoppers.

President of EGHS Auxiliary Mrs Liz De Fegely commented that after the success of the previous Shopping Sprees in which over 150 shoppers took advantage of great specials, it is expected that this year we will see more shoppers involved.

Mrs De Fegely said ‘Pre-selection of items from participating shops will commence on Thursday 11th November and these items will be held aside for payment on the Shopping Spree night with the appropriate discounts."

With Christmas just around the corner and summer fast approaching, the Shopping Spree is a fantastic opportunity to do some early Christmas shopping with great discounts and specials on offer.

There will be a Food Station set up in the street giving everyone a complimentary light meal along the way.

The number of shoppers on the night will be limited and you can choose to be part of a 15 person Shopping Team with your friends, or placed in a team of your choice.

It is important that all shoppers register and purchase a PASSPORT which will cost $25 per person. Passports are available from Gilbert & Jury, 128 Barkly St Ararat during trading hours Monday to Saturday.

Prizes will be drawn at the conclusion at Ararat Performing Arts Centre where supper will be provided by the Auxiliary and drinks will be available at bar prices.

All proceeds raised by the EGHS Auxiliary from the forthcoming Shopping Spree will go towards purchase of a Bladder Scanner at East Grampians Health Service.
