Sue Stanley Guest Speaker at WWW Dinner

Winner of 3 World Aerobics Titles, Sports Australia Hall of Fame member and Advanced Australia Award recipient for her contribution to sport, Sue Stanley will be the special guest speaker at the forthcoming WWW. Women, Wisdom and Wellbeing Dinner to be held on Friday 5th September, at the Ararat Performing Arts Centre.
This will be the seventh year this highly successful event has presented a well known speaker and again the organisers, the EGHS Auxiliary is hoping to attract up to 300 women of all ages from across the region. Tickets are now available with all proceeds going towards Air Pressure Beds for the Inpatient Unit at the Ararat Hospital.
Sue Stanley represented Australia at the Seoul 1988 Olympics where water skiing was a demonstration sport and from 1992 she went on to win 3 World Aerobic titles. In 1994 Sue founded ‘Fitcorp', now one of the leading corporate fitness companies in Australia dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of workers, particularly the executive staff.
As an author / writer, Sue released two best-selling books, ‘Sue Stanley: Your Personal Trainer', and ‘Fitness Forever'. Furthermore she was the editor of Woman's Fitness & Health magazine for over 10 years, has written for magazines such as Women's Day and a weekly full page fitness column in the Herald Sun newspaper. Sue also promotes health and fitness through her weekly radio segment with Ernie Sigley on Melbourne Radio Station 3AW and Channel 7's Go for Your Life TV Show.
A member of the Sport Australia Hall of Fame, an Australia Day Ambassador and the recipient of the Advance Australia Award for her contribution to sport, Sue is a terrific ambassador for her country. In addition she dedicates endless hours to charity and fundraising events and is regarded as a role model for healthier living to people of all ages.
The WWW Dinner is not only about women getting together it's also an opportunity to introduce our future young leaders to their peers and this year 24 senior students from Ararat, Lake Bolac and Beaufort will attend.
Major sponsor of the students attending the Dinner will be the highly successful ‘Brekkie on the Run' Program for women funded by Regional Development Victoria which has just received a second round of funding for a further ten get togethers. The program has been developed similarly to the WWW Dinner's model and also includes young women leaders being involved.
Also sponsoring the students will be local MP's, Ararat Rural City, Businesses and Organisations with many having supported the student's attendance since the inception of the Dinner in 2002.
Students attending will also have the opportunity again this year to submit an entry for the ‘3rd Annual Careers Encouragement Award' which is sponsored by the Auxiliary to assist the winner with their future career aspirations.
