With quality and updated Imaging equipment at our Health Service, patients can now have a diagnosis locally rather than having to travel for their imaging services.  This is a significant advantage to residents within Ararat and the surrounding communities.

In response to our growing population and their needs, the Ararat campus now has a 6 slice Siemens CT Scanner for reliable diagnosis.  This service operates five days per week, and for emergencies afterhours and on weekends.  A Philips iU22 Ultrasound Scanner also operates five days per week.  In addition, the department offers high quality up-to-date OPG (Panoramic Dental) imaging as well as plain x-ray facilities.  All equipment acquires images digitally and promptly with fast and efficient reporting services from Bendigo Radiology specialists. 

Chief Radiographer Craig Newson has been appointed to oversee the department and, together with a highly skilled compliment of permanent staff, can now provide high quality Medical Imaging services to the local community.
