Willaura Health Care and Parkland House Hostel are part of East Grampians Health Service located 37 kms west of Ararat.
The Health Service consists of 8 Sub Acute and 2 Commonwealth high care beds. Parkland House Hostel consists of 10 Commonwealth low care beds.
Our Vision is to be always developing and forming partnerships with residents, their families and the community to provide the best quality aged care.
Staff at Willaura provide the best quality care to all its residents, making sure that all their needs are met. The Willaura Hospital Auxiliary has approx 10 members who meet quarterly and strive to raise funds for much needed items for our Hospital.
We at Willaura provide a home like environment for our residents. We are small and feel we are able to give the attention needed to all our residents.
Parkland House
Situated in Willaura, Western Victoria, Parkland House provides quality low level care for older people in a delightful rural setting.
With accommodation available for only ten people, individualised care is assured. Each unit has en suite facilities and is designed to care for the needs of permanent and respite residents.
Residents are encouraged to furnish their room to their own taste and in keeping with the expectations of the hostel. Resident's mementoes provide comfort and fond memories in their new home. The units are carpeted and provided with drapes. Respite rooms are fully furnished.
Parkland House has met the stringent standards and is fully accredited by the Australian Council on Health Care Standards and the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency Ltd.
Lifestyle
Residents are supported to maintain contact and interest in the wider community - family, church, social, professional, sporting or club friendships. Visitors are welcome at any time.
Staff are able to assist the Resident and family in this area where possible. Our Lifestyle Co-ordinators arrange a wide range of activities and outings suited to the Resident's individual needs and wishes.
Choice of Menu
Hospitality services are provided in a friendly and generous manner. A choice of menu is available, catering for personal preferences and specific dietary requirements.

Who is Eligible?
A current assessment by the Aged Care Assessment Service for ‘low' level care is required. This can be arranged through your Doctor.
What costs are involved?
The following is general information only and will vary with individual circumstances. All fees and charges are determined by government legislation and are dependent on the person's assets and income. Charges include the following three areas:
The Basic Daily Care Fee - paid by all Residents. Fees are set by the government which is indexed to inflation every 6 months
An Accommodation Bond - paid by many Residents according to assets and income. This is an interest free loan to the facility which is negotiated according to the Resident's assets and/or income. The loan is government guaranteed
The Daily Income Tested fee - paid by some Residents according to assets and income. An additional government fee collected by the facility based on the Resident's income and is reviewed quarterly.

Willaura Auxiliary
The Auxiliary works tirelessly for the benefit of our Residents, visiting and providing comforts. The Auxiliary also raises funds for furniture and additional equipment required. New members are always welcome. Further information is available from the Manager Willaura, phone (03) 5354 1600.
Volunteers
A volunteer service operates to visit with Residents and assist with activities and outings on an as needs basis. Further information is available from the EGHS Volunteer Coordinator phone (03) 5352 9331.
